This Wiki was for the Austin ATD chapter's CPLP Preparation study group. There are no local cohorts planned for the foreseeable future. The CPLP curriculum provides valuable broad-based exposure to ATD's ten areas of expertise. We hope you will join our dynamic learning community!

What is our goal?

Our primary goal is to prepare interested parties to pass the CPLP exam. In addition, we strive to help participants expand their knowledge of performance improvement, instructional design, training delivery, learning technologies, evaluating learning impact, managing learning programs, integrated talent management, coaching, knowledge management, and change management. As facilitators, we commit to providing an interactive learning environment on a monthly basis to help explore and reinforce 10 competencies of the CPLP.

What do you need to participate?

Please notify Shauna Herman at cplp@austinastd.org about your interest in participation.

In addition, you will need:

An ASTD Learning System, a digital curriculum (can be ordered via the ASTD store). Note: you may use other resources to prepare, but the curriculum is based on the 10 modules, which were updated in 2013.
Time and commitment to read and self-study the modules before the meeting.
A willingness to participate in interactive exploration of the materials.
A $30 fee to Austin ATD (non-profit) to offset costs of the study program ($50 for non-ATD members).

The Certified Professional in Learning and Performance™ (CPLP™) offered by the ATD Certification Institute (CI) offers workplace learning and performance (WLP) professionals an opportunity to enhance credibility and prove value in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
