Holly Waldren: Holly's somewhat eclectic job history has one common thread: training. She started teaching computer classes back when floppy disks were common (and floppy), and she occasionally still teaches a software class at ACC. She spent some time teaching English in Japan in the late 90's. Her more recent experience is in developing workforce training for the call center industry; and she currently works for Dell. Her main interest in CLCP certification is to broaden and deepen her knowledge about the entire field of learning and development, especially areas beyond delivery and instructional design.

Holly is a little bit anal retentive, as evidenced by her rearranging the names here to be in alphabetical order. :-) She often procrastinates; and no, she hasn't read this month's lesson yet, but she will, even if it requires reading until 4:00 am on Saturday morning. Her hobbies include changing diapers and thrift-store shopping. She has a mild interest in art cars, and it should be easy to pick out her car in the parking lot.

Contact information: holly_waldren@dell.com or 728-7832 (work).

Gina Garcia: Currently work as an Event Planner for state government and very close to retirement. With a degree in Education and possess a passion for helping others, namely teaching, it only makes sense to want to prepare for a second career in Education. Have experience teaching GED, ESL, Conversational Spanish, Train the Trainer, Marketing, Customer Service, etc. The hope is to study fervently and pass the exam. This course will support current experience and education and hopefully open doors for a full-time career in the Educational Field.

Originally from El Paso---but Austin is home since elderly parents are living here too in the same household. Have one very loving child, well, a dog that behaves like a child. She is bilingual, understands both English and Spanish. And is well-behaved.....sometimes. : )

She has developed and presented training locally and nationally and is now seeking education and training on how to "really" do it.
